Attempts to introduce a perverted way of life in our country, unfortunately, continue - Georgian Church

The Georgian Church protested against LGBT propaganda and against the so-called «Pride Week» held by the LGBT organization Tbilisi Pride from July 1-8. The protest is reported on the Facebook page of the Patriarchal Public Relations Service.
«Unfortunately, the attempt to introduce obscene lifestyles in our country does not stop. This is evidenced by the «LGBT Week» announced in July of this year, which because of its goals cannot but have its negative impact, even when held in closed spaces,» stated the leadership of the Georgian Church.
They also stress that «LGBT propaganda is unacceptable and unacceptable, especially in a country with deeply rooted Christian values and centuries-old cultural heritage.»
«Any manifestation of such propaganda among young people is violence against their minds,» the Georgian Church said in a statement and added that «ignoring the repeated protests of the majority of the Georgian population demonstrates a lack of respect for the nation’s core values and is a clear attempt to cause moral damage.»
The Patriarchate of Georgia also stressed that «the Church never advocates violence, but rather promotes peaceful coexistence in society.»
«Therefore, a call to society to discuss the regulation of this problem through legislation may be especially timely today,» the Georgian Church concluded.
