Plans for a raid to take over the Lavra were reported

Hierodeacon Pavel, the head of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, recorded a video message in which he informs about possible plans of the authorities to seize some buildings of the monastery by force with the help of security forces and «red berets». Therefore, he urged the UOC believers to come to the defense of the monastery on July 6, 2023.

«The police want tomorrow with the help of the «red berets» and other representatives of law enforcement in a raiding style to take away from us the buildings. All believers are urged to take part in the defense of their Orthodox shrine,» he said.
