In Lviv, on the site of the destroyed temple of the UOC, a cathedral of the OCU will be erected

In Lviv, on the Sykhiv residential area, the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral of the OCU will be erected. It will appear on the site of the St. Vladimir Church of the UOC, destroyed in April 2023. This is reported by the publication lviv.media.

The corresponding decision was made on August 23 by the deputies of the Lviv City Council.

«The Lviv elected representatives approved a land management project for the allotment of a land plot to the religious community of the Lviv-Sokal diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Orthodox Church of Ukraine) parish in the Sikhovsky district of the city of Lviv and provided it with a permanent use of a land plot of 0.7640 hectares on Krasnaya Kalina Avenue, 89 for the construction of the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral,» the statement said.
