Yulia Fediv may become the new Minister of Culture

In the near future, the Verkhovna Rada may appoint a new Minister of Culture. Probably Yulia Fediv will get the post. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak told Radio Liberty about this.
According to the people’s choice, the former director of the “Ukrainian Cultural Fund” (UKF) Yulia Fediv may head the Ministry of Culture after Alexander Tkachenko in the near future. A vote on this matter in Parliament is expected at the next plenary session.
Zheleznyak added that “if Fediv is appointed to the post of head of the Ministry of Culture, then the current government will have the largest number of women in the history of Ukraine.”
It is known that since July 28, Rostislav Karandeev, Tkachenko’s deputy, has been temporarily acting as Minister of Culture and Information Policy.
