EU lawmaker has 'nervous breakdown' over military men being honored by UOC clerics

A member of the Kharkiv regional council from the European Solidarity party has said that Kharkiv Region has a «court pop of the Moscow Patriarchate, who is invited to all funerals» in military registration offices. About this he said on the air of Espreso.

«Every day they report that in this or that settlement there will be a funeral, a hero died. The number of people we bury is quite large. At the same time, cynically military commissaries somehow suggest that the funeral of the dead military clerics of the Moscow patriarchate. It looks very cynical in Kharkiv region,» — said Skorik.

This state of affairs, the MP called «a disgrace at all levels, cynicism of the highest degree».

«In addition, the propaganda that the Moscow church is Ukrainian, has already crossed all boundaries. They fool the heads of our parishioners, calling themselves the Ukrainian church, and that the prayers seem to be read not in Russian, but in the Old Slavonic language. However, people who know anything about it know that the UOC-MP is a hostile church. And this is something that everyone should be able to understand. Especially I am outraged by this situation, I am already in a nervous breakdown when at the funerals of guys this so-called Old Slavonic language is heard, but in fact Russian. This is a systemic phenomenon in Kharkiv region, which crosses all borders», — said Skorik.
