Metropolitan Luka commented on the accusation by the Zaporizhzhya court of his diocese in "anti-state activity"

Metropolitan Luka in his Telegram channel gave a comment on the wrongful accusation by the Zaporizhzhya court of his diocese in allegedly «anti-state activities».
It is known that on July 2, the Zaporizhzhya City Council adopted an illegal decision №70 on the termination of the relationship with religious organizations of the UOC «Moscow Patriarchate», referring to the Zaporizhzhya diocese.
The Zaporizhzhya City Council claims that «the governing center of the Zaporizhzhya diocese is in an aggressor country.»
«I understand the motives behind the decision of the city council deputies. They do not need to know what we have written in the Charter (official document). They have other tasks,» the hierarch wrote.
Metropolitan said that the diocese filed a lawsuit against this decision «with the hope that there are still laws in our society,» but the Zaporizhzhya District Administrative Court denied the application.
The bishop demanded from the judge to provide «facts of our ‘anti-state activity'». The bishop asked him to explain «how the Zaporizhzhya diocese is managed by the aggressor country, where are the levers and what are the mechanisms of this management? On what grounds did the city council decide that the aggressor country has anything to do with us?».
«We helped the military hospital and refugees, our parishioners are fighting at the front. By what right do the deputies of the Zaporizhzhya City Council slander and lie on our parishioners?»?» — asks the hierarch.
