New data on "transitions" of UOC congregations to the OCU were published online

The website of the Espresso TV channel has published an updated map of «transitions» of the UOC congregations to the OCU. It is reported that in 5 months the OCU managed to get about 200 more parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

«Most of all communities left the UOC-MP in Khmelnytchyna — 333. More than 200 parishes changed from the pro-Russian confession to the OCU in Kyiv and Volyn regions. More than a hundred communities changed confessional affiliation in Vinnytsia (192), Zhytomyr (159) and Rivne (104) regions», — is indicated in the message.

«The least number of UOC-MP parishes remained in Galicia: 15 in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 37 in Lviv region and 74 in Ternopil region. In addition, these regions have the highest percentage of conversions from the Moscow Patriarchate to the OCU. In Ivano-Frankivsk region the Moscow Patriarchate lost 53% of its parishes, in Lviv region exactly half, and in Ternopil region the UOC-MP lost 36% of churches», — summarize the authors of statistics.

We would like to remind you that we have repeatedly reported on how exactly the so-called transitions of religious communities from the UOC to the OCU take place. Most often, each such act is accompanied by typical signs of raiding.
