The SSU should work with agents in cassocks, - MP

Ukrainian MP of the Dovira faction Pavlo Bakunets has said that the draft laws on banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church should be submitted for consideration as soon as possible. At the same time, he calls for conducting explanatory work with the believers of the UOC, and for the priests of the Church to be given into the hands of the special services, the LB.ua news and analysis website reported.

«Kremlin influence on religion in Ukraine should not be! This is a requirement of society. Of course, this topic is one of those that are discussed at the conciliatory Council of groups and factions, and as a representative of the Trust I once again emphasize — bills on this issue should be put to a vote as soon as possible. I am a co-author of one bill, but I am ready to vote for any bill to move this issue forward», — the MP said.

Separate attention the MP proposes to pay «work» with believers and clergy of the UOC. «In addition to legislative work is important informational and educational with the believers of the so-called UOC MP. The SBU should work with agents in cassocks. And with parishioners we all need to work informationally», — urged Bakunets.

It is worth noting that Pavlo Bakunets, who was the mayor of the city of Yavoriv in Lviv Region before he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada, positions himself as a supporter of the UGCC in his personal social networks.
