Metropolitan Kliment: During the war, the euphoria of deputies from the adopted bill looked cynical

The head of the Information and Education Department of the UOC Metropolitan of Nizhyn Kliment commented on today’s vote in the Verkhovna Rada for the ban of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is reported by the First Kazatsky.

«The word «accepted», in my opinion, is the least suitable to what was happening in the Rada. Deputies were openly threatened, they were blackmailed. But in general, this law is not even about the UOC. A whole package of anti-Christian bills has already been passed in Parliament. And a lot more of the same is expected», — said the Metropolitan.

He recalled that «in the midst of war and bombing of Ukrainian cities, deputies are busy developing gender legislation, legalization of «medical» drugs. Today they banned the Church with such fervor. In the near future, MP Inna Sovsun promises the adoption of a law on same-sex partnerships. Obviously, this is not the limit of their fantasies.

«All this is absolutely not in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, but it is being pushed through the parliament. And, moreover, those who elected the deputies did not delegate them to do such things even in peacetime,» — the UOC hierarch noted.

Metropolitan Kliment emphasized that «during the war, the euphoria of deputies from the bill passed in the first reading looked no less cynical than their multimillion-dollar foreign villas and weddings, the shame of which falls on the entire Ukrainian people in front of foreign partners».
