Police open criminal case over attempted seizure of UOC church in Lenkivtsi

Criminal proceedings have been launched over the attempted seizure of the Petropavlovsk church of the Chernivtsi diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Lenkivtsi. About it in his Telegram-channel reports the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Artem Dmytruk.
«The story with the terrible seizure of the temple of the UOC in the village of Lenkovtsy in Chernivtsi region, when supporters of the OCU brutally beat the parishioners of this temple, as promised, continues. I received a response from the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, to my parliamentary inquiry. Law enforcers have already initiated criminal proceedings against the raiders, who beat the believers with their feet, under the article «hooliganism», — wrote the Deputy.
In addition, according to Artem Dmytruk, special attention in the investigation of the case will be devoted to the security firm «Tiger», representatives of which took part in the seizure of the temple of the UOC.
«Against the bandits themselves and militants of the security firm «Tiger» has already launched an investigation into their involvement in the seizure of the temple and the beating of believers of the UOC. If this information is confirmed, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure that this firm will be subject to measures in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine. That is, «Tiger» may remain without a license!», — stressed Dmytruk.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that supporters of the OCU, with the participation of militants of the local security firm «Tiger», seized the Petro-Pavlovsky church of the UOC in the village of Lenkovtsy in Chernivtsi region.
