The Rada profile committee will consider a bill on banning the UOC in early March

A special-purpose committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider the draft law No 8371, which was finalized after the first reading of the bill aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The consideration is scheduled for March 5. About it told the head of the Committee Nikita Poturaev, reports «24 channel».

According to Poturaev, the bill was to be voted in the second reading back in mid-February, but its consideration was forced to postpone because of the proposed revisions by deputies from «European Solidarity».

«I believe that we have a very powerful text, this is a case when we are not ashamed of our common work. Lobbyists of the Moscow popes will try to discredit the law abroad, but it will go to Parliament», — said Poturaev.

It should be noted that the experts of Raskolam.net analyzed the situation with the adoption of the bill № 8371. In their opinion, the government does not have to pass a law banning the UOC in order to fully restrict its activities.
