The city head of the town of Nadvornaya in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Zynoviy Andriyovych, reported on the liquidation of the only religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church operating on the territory of the united territorial community. The official said that it was not easy to stop the activity of the religious community of St. George the Great Martyr of the UOC, even though the priest and believers of the Church «were in the underground». About this he told in a comment to the publication «Informer».
«We made every effort to Nadvornyanskaya community one of the first in the region got rid of Moscow popes in black cassocks. Now the elimination of legal addressing of Muscovites in black cassocks has passed. It is unacceptable that during the war in the state there is a church that blesses Russian soldiers to kill Ukrainians. We had them in the underground. No church, no land, on the hut gathered,» — said Andriyovich.
We will remind, earlier Zinoviy Andriyovich appealed to the residents of Nadvornaya with an appeal about the inadmissibility of the resumption of the activities of the UOC in the city. The official threatened to confiscate the property of those who would rent out premises for the needs of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
