“They were all bought by the Russian Church": MP Knyazhytsky criticized colleagues for refusing to vote for the ban of the UOC

Ukrainian MP of the European Solidarity party Mykola Knyazhytskyy has criticized his colleagues in parliament for their unwillingness to vote for the bill No 8371 aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Knyazhytskyy believes that they have all been “bought by the Russian Church”. He said in a commentary to the Espresso TV channel.
“It is possible to create such things only for a lot of money. It seems that the Russian Church buys those who should make such decisions. I have no evidence of this, but I see them posting fake news in Telegram that supposedly whoever votes for this, there will be American sanctions and other lies and absurdity. But why the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada and the largest faction blocks consideration of this issue, I cannot understand. There is no logical explanation for this,” — said Knyazhytsky.
We shall remind you that earlier we reported that MPs from the European Solidarity party criticized the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience. The MPs claim that officials of the State Service sabotaged the work on draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, due to which it was not submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for a vote.
