“Poroshenko's party has feel the “taste of blood” in power and is pumping this story,” - MP on the law about the ban of the UOC

Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuglaya has commented on the activity of the European Solidarity party in the issue of the draft law No 8371, by which the Rada wants to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Bezuglaya believes that both scenarios are favorable for the political force of former President Poroshenko and they use the situation to the maximum – whether this law will be passed or not. About this the Deputy wrote in her account in Facebook.

“Poroshenko’s party has smelled the “smell of blood” in power and is pumping this story, because according to the vision of their chief they are in any case in the win – if the Parliament does not vote, then the government is bad, if it votes, then they started it, etc. Of course, there is no question of assessing other risks, primarily American ones. The main thing is to frame the authorities,” – Bezuglaya claims.

The MP added that the Verkhovna Rada did not go on vacation, but took a pause to finalize the bill to ban the UOC. She believes that it will be possible to return to its consideration in a few weeks.

“To finalize the final version and to conduct the above-mentioned consultations(in the U.S., – ed.) and dealings parliamentary sessions decided to suspend for a few weeks, but this does not mean that the Rada went on vacation, it means that the nardeputies will work in committees, regions, business trips and the like. If someone runs away to Monaco or somewhere else, then journalists should catch them, brand them with shame to the seventh knee, and law enforcement agencies to provide a legal assessment,” – concluded the MP.

We shall remind you that earlier Maryana Bezuglaya said that the Ukrainian parliament was afraid to adopt draft law No. 8371 aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church because of its rejection in the USA and the Vatican. Bezuglaya said that a parliamentary group from the Verkhovna Rada would soon travel to the USA to convince the Americans to give the green light to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
