Hierarchs of the Hellenic Church criticized an anti-Christian LGBT performance at the 2024 Olympics in Paris

Hierarchs of the Hellenic Orthodox Church criticized the anti-Christian LGBT performance, which took place at the opening of the Olympiad-2024 in Paris. The EOC called what happened a sacrilege. This is reported by the website Romfea.gr.

When journalists asked Archbishop Hieronymos of Athens and All Greece about the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, he replied, “All this is worthy of absolute contempt.”

For his part, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Mani wrote a letter to the French ambassador to Greece, expressing deep indignation at what happened in Paris.

“In the context of Greek-French friendship, as well as studying at the famous Sorbonne University, I express with a sense of regret my displeasure at the sacrilegious incident during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, the sacrilegious presentation of the “Last Supper” related to European Christian culture”, — stated in the letter of the hierarch.

Recall, earlier we reported that the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church condemned the blasphemous performance organized at the opening of the “Olympics-2024” in Paris. The Bulgarian Patriarchate called what happened “vulgarity and ideological tastelessness”.
