Lviv Regional State Administration deputies urged the Rada to ban the UOC

Deputies of the Lviv regional council have urged the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to pass the bill No. 8371 aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The LRC believes that there can be no excuses as to why this law has not been passed so far. About it reports the channel «Espresso».

«We demand from the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to stop obstructing the will of the people’s deputies of Ukraine, the absolute majority of whom have already expressed their willingness to support the bill 8371 on amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the activities of religious organizations in Ukraine, and to protect national security and put an end to the agents of Russian influence. There are no justifiable reasons to further delay the vote on this momentous bill, which deals with national security issues. This bill does not threaten any of the Ukrainian religious communities, except those that remain part of the Moscow church», — said in the statement of the deputies of the Lviv regional Council.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that deputies of the Ivano-Frankivsk city council once again urged the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by adopting the scandalous bill No. 8371. The deputies are convinced that the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the country create a danger of destabilizing society and undermining state sovereignty.
