SSU updates data on criminal prosecution of UOC priests

The Security Service of Ukraine has reported updated data on criminal prosecutions against clergymen of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The agency said exactly how many criminal cases had been opened and how many of them had been brought to court verdicts. This is reported by the publication «RBC-Ukraine».

«During the full-scale war on the materials of the SSU were started criminal proceedings against more than 100 clergymen, almost 50 of them received suspicions, 25 — court sentences. The vast majority of suspects are representatives of the UOC (MP)», — stated in the commentary of the SSU.

We will remind, earlier we reported that the Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv region was engaged in «illegal» construction of the Cyril and Methodius monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village Radichi Sambor district. According to the agency’s investigators, the monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the construction of which started back in 2008, is illegal.
