The head of the Office of the President promised to “rid the Church of Moscow's influence”

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, has joined the comments on the topic of banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church through the adoption of the relevant bill (#8371) in the Verkhovna Rada. Yermak stated the need to deprive the Church of “Moscow’s influence”. About this he wrote in his Telegram channel.

“The Church in Ukraine will be deprived of Moscow’s influence. Since Soviet times, the Church in Russia and for Russia is the territory and ears of their special services. Russia today is the country that destroys churches in Ukraine. For them there is no God, there is no faith. This is a screen for murder and violence,” — wrote Yermak.

We will remind, earlier we reported that the All-Ukrainian Council of churches and religious organizations (AUC&RO) published a joint statement on the fact of the meeting with the head of state Vladimir Zelensky. The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations said that they fully support Zelenskyy’s initiative to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by adopting the scandalous draft law No 8371
