Amsterdam warned of the responsibility of all those who promote the ban of the UOC

The head of the international human rights company Amsterdam & Partners LLP, Robert Amsterdam, who represents the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, has said that the initiators of the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will receive the punishment they deserve. The lawyer added that he will fight for the rights of the UOC despite threats from the SBU. About this he wrote in the account in the social network X.

“It is important that I make it clear: the recent threats of the SBU to investigate and bring false charges against me will in no way hinder our efforts to bring to justice all those who promote the law on religious cleansing 8371. Yelensky and his team of fanatics are carrying out a full-scale expropriation and attack on Ukraine’s cultural heritage with this law, and we will demand that these planned human rights violations be documented and brought to justice,” — Amsterdam wrote.

We shall remind you that earlier we reported that Robert Amsterdam, representing the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, wrote an open appeal to Volodymyr Zelensky, in which he pointed out the risks for Ukraine associated with the possible adoption of the scandalous bill № 8371, aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The human rights defender pointed out that he had information about the purposeful destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by the Ukrainian authorities, which, according to international law, is a crime against humanity.
