“Your American visa will be taken away from you": MP told about what in the Verkhovna Rada ‘blackmail’ supporters of the ban of the UOC

Ukrainian MP of the Golos party Oleksandra Ustynova has said that supporters of the adoption of the bill No 8371 on banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Verkhovna Rada are allegedly being blackmailed by the fact that their US visas will be taken away. The MP is convinced that this is a myth and, in fact, the USA will not do this. About this she told in her account in the social network Facebook.

“Your American visa will be taken away from you! This is one of the main messages that tell our deputies in the Verkhovna Rada not to vote the law on the Moscow Church. The Americans are against it! They’ll say it’s religious persecution, “you’re banning the church” blah blah blah blah blah. And they’ll take away your visa, the “persecutor”. This is a myth that is now being dispelled through MPs (I’ve actually had them call me and ask if their visa will be taken away). No one will ever take away anything,” — Ustinova wrote.

We will remind, earlier we reported that the head of the international human rights company “Amsterdam & Partners LLP” Robert Amsterdam, representing the legal interests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said that the initiators of the ban of the UOC will be punished deservedly. The lawyer added that he would fight for the rights of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church despite threats from the SBU.
