The court on the case on the right of ownership of the Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the UOC to the occupied premises postponed

The Economic Court of Volyn Oblast has postponed the hearing of a case regarding the possible eviction of the Administration of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the complex of premises of the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, which also houses the diocesan administration and theological school. The meeting was canceled due to the absence of Metropolitan Volodymyr, the head of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the UOC. This is reported by the publication Bug.
“On September 3, the Economic Court of Volyn region was to hold the first court hearing in the case of eviction of the religious community of the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate from the complex of buildings of the Assumption Cathedral in Volodymyr. However, the case was postponed because the head of the local diocese of the UOC, Metropolitan Volodymyr, did not appear in court. The meeting was postponed to 11:00 on September 17,” – the statement reads.
As reported, Volyn Regional Council deputy Andriy Bokoch announced a court hearing on the possible eviction of the Administration of the Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the complex of premises of the Holy Dormition Cathedral in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, which also houses the diocesan administration and theological school. The deputy said he would personally attend the court hearings to “return the Assumption Cathedral to the bosom of the OCU.”
