A witness in one of the cases against Metropolitan Theodosius was questioned

On September 18, 2024, the Sosnovsky District Court of Cherkasy held a court hearing in one of the criminal proceedings against the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Theodosius (Snigirov) of Cherkasy and Kaniv. During the court hearing, one of the prosecution witnesses was interrogated, who told what exactly the Metropolitan is to be convicted of. This is reported by the publication “Suspilne.Cherkasy”.

“The witness said that he had a hostile relationship with the suspect. The prosecutor asked why, to which the witness said that he was a believer of the OCU, and that Feodosiy’s statements on YouTube, in his opinion, contribute to inciting sectarian strife. Two witnesses were interrogated in the case. The next hearing is scheduled for September 25,” — the statement said.

Earlier we reported that the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the abbot of the Holy Dormition Sviatohirsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseny of Sviatohirsk, faces 5 to 8 years in prison if his guilt is established in court.
