Court on eviction of UOC monks from Kiev-Pechersk Lavra postponed due to air raids

A court hearing on the eviction of the monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which was to be held today, has been postponed due to prolonged air raids. The new meeting is scheduled for October 24, 2024. About it reports the telegram channel of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

“Today was to be held a court hearing on the case of the native Lavra in the Northern court of appeal. The issue of termination of the contract of use in the Lower Lavra was decided. But due to numerous air alerts, it was decided to postpone the case. The next session will be held on October 24 at 11:00”, — reported in the Lavra.

We will remind, earlier the speaker of the OCU Evstratiy Zorya expressed hope that the state will be able to finally resolve the issue with the stay of monks of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Zorya believes that the monastic community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has no right to stay on the territory of the monastery.
