Another UOC priest from the diaspora in Ukraine was subjected to forced mobilization

Another priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who took care of Ukrainian believers in the diaspora, was subjected to forced mobilization. This time, the victim of the territorial recruitment center was Archpriest John Krys, who temporarily came to Ukraine from Germany. This was reported by Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk.

“Another priest of the UOC was kidnapped by fascists from the TRC and taken to the commission. The incident occurred in Kyiv, where Father John Krys arrived after serving in Germany. The priest had all the documents confirming that he had updated his data. The TRC and the police, who were involved in the lawlessness, were not interested in them. As I have already said, the TRC was instructed to catch all the priests of the UOC and send them as meat to the front — without proper registration, in violation of the law!”, — the MP wrote.

We remind that, on October 1, 2024, in the city of Kremenets, Ternopil region, representatives of the territorial recruitment center forcibly mobilized Archpriest John Polishchuk, a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It is reported that Polishchuk visited the local military enlistment office to clarify the data of a person liable for military service, after which he was sent to a military medical commission and immediately sent to a training ground in Uzhhorod.
