Metropolitan Longin's lawyer tells about the bishop's health

The lawyer of the hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny, reported a deterioration in the bishop’s health. The lawyer claims that numerous and fruitless hearings have a critical effect on Metropolitan Longin’s heart, which is why he even had to be hospitalized during the last trial of the bishop. The lawyer’s appeal was published on the YouTube channel of the Bancheny Monastery.

«Unfortunately, the Metropolitan’s condition is deteriorating, he is now in intensive care. After yesterday’s meeting, he was very sick. Even after he became worse and began to lose consciousness, he asked for an ambulance, the trial continued. And only when he became very, very sick, the hearing was stopped and an ambulance was called. At the moment, we have the result — he is in intensive care. He is getting worse and worse. Please pray for him. I don’t know when the next time will be when he will be healthy and will appear in court. Of course, we will let you know. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who prays and supports him,» the lawyer said.

Earlier, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheny said that a new criminal proceeding was being prepared against him, which should result in a 12-year prison sentence. In addition, the bishop pointed out that the government is preparing new repressive measures against the Ascension Monastery of the UOC of Bancheny.
