Rivne RSA tells how many UOC communities managed to re-register to OCU

The Rivne Regional State Administration has published information on how many parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have been re-registered to the OCU. The data was calculated starting from February 2022. This is reported by the publication “Suspilne.Rivne”.
It is reported that in 2014, 550 religious communities of the UOC functioned in the Rivne region. In early 2022, their number decreased to 506, and now there are 446. In turn, the number of parishes of the OCU increased from 258 in 2022 to 413 in 2024. In 2024, eight religious communities of the UOC were re-registered to the OCU. This number is confirmed by the order of the head of the Rivne Regional Administration. Thus, since 2022, 60 parishes of the UOC in the Rivne region have been officially transferred to the OCU.
In addition, another 89 religious communities of the UOC-KP are to technically change their canonical subordination to the OCU. This means that since 2018, not all communities of the former UOC-KP have changed their registration, as required by the “Tomos of Autocephaly of the OCU” and the decision of the Unification Council of the UOC-KP and the UAOC.
Earlier, we reported that the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration published information on how many communities and churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have been re-registered in favor of the OCU since 2022. In total, the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration took away 25 churches from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the region.
