The Diocesan Council of the Khust Diocese pledged allegiance to the Primate of the UOC

On November 28, 2024, a meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Khust of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was held. During the event, which took place in the city of Khust (Zakarpattia region), the ruling bishop of the diocese, Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vynogradiv, together with the clergy, testified to their loyalty and support for the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, as well as their commitment to the decisions of the UOC Council in Feofania, held on May 27, 2022. This was reported on the Facebook page of the diocese.
“The Diocesan Council, headed by the ruling bishop, on behalf of the clergy and flock of the Khust Diocese, once again testified to their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its Primate, His Beatitude Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine. The Archpastor once again emphasized the importance and necessity of implementing the Resolution of the Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of May 27, 2022,” — the statement reads.
We will remind, earlier we reported that on November 15, 2024, a meeting of the expanded diocesan council of the Odesa Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was held in Odesa. During the meeting, the clergy of the diocese considered the “Statement of the Bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church regarding the actions of the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in the direction of the dioceses of the UOC.” The clergy unanimously supported the position of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail on this issue.
