OCU supporters seize another UOC church in Kyiv region

On January 21, 2025, in the village of Shevchenkove, Kyiv region, supporters of the OCU, accompanied by police, seized the local Archangel Michael Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The OCU worshipers and their henchmen cut the locks on the front door of the church and entered the premises. This is reported by First Cossack.

“In the morning, on January 21, a group of raiders from the OCU came to the Archangel Michael Church of the UOC in the village of Shevchenkove in the Kyiv region. Shevchenkove in the Kyiv region. The criminals were accompanied by the police. In front of law enforcement officers, and under the guidance of OCU clerics, the raiders cut the locks on the House of God. The shrine was seized and occupied by the OCU. The parish of the church called an investigative team and drew up a report,” – the media reported.

Earlier we reported that the hospital church of St. Xenia of St. Petersburg at Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 3, which was taken away from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in 2022, was converted into a cafe. The church has been fully operational at the hospital for 22 years, providing an opportunity for staff and patients to participate in the Church’s services and sacraments.
