Premises of Ternopil diocesan administration of UOC shelled in Ternopil

In Ternopil, unidentified persons fired on the premises of the diocesan administration of the Ternopil Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A characteristic hole was found in one of the windows of the building, as well as the remains of a bullet. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of the Ternopil region.

“Unidentified persons shot through the window of the diocesan building, which belongs to the Cathedral of Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia, on Konovalets Street in Ternopil. Experts found a damaged window with a hole characteristic of a shot, and near it the remains of a bullet, probably from an air gun. Church employees say that the crime occurred between January 18 and 21, as no one visited the premises at that time,” – the report says.

Earlier we reported that the Ternopil City Council transferred to the religious community of the OCU a land plot (at Ternopil, Konovaltsia Street, 1), where the Cathedral and the diocesan administration of the Ternopil Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are located. This decision was made by the city council despite the fact that the Supreme Court of Ukraine seized the land, prohibiting the city council from disposing of the property in any way. Now the OCU community, which was given the land under the UOC Cathedral, is going to build a chapel there.
