“Our chaplains bring light” - Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK Zaluzhnyi

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, former head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and now the country’s ambassador to the UK, visited the UK Armed Forces Chaplaincy Center, where Ukrainian chaplains are trained. Zaluzhny noted that Ukrainian military priests “bring light to places where darkness reigns.” The ambassador wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“Looking into their eyes, I saw not just military priests. I saw people who bring light where the darkness of war reigns. They listen, comfort, help to endure, to remain human in inhuman conditions,” – emphasized Zaluzhny.
It is worth noting that most of the chaplains of the Armed Forces are representatives of the OCU. Despite the fact that there is a lack of military priests at the front, the so-called chaplains of the OCU are active in peaceful regions of Ukraine, where they organize the seizure of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and other provocations against the UOC.
Earlier, we reported that in the village of Smolyary, Volyn region, the OCU chaplains provoked a conflict over the local religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of St. Job of Pochayiv. The reason for this was once again the funeral service of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who died while performing his military duty at the front. Representatives of the OCU and relatives of the deceased demanded that the UOC priest provide a church for the funeral, but were refused, which provoked a scandal.
