The first meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in 2025 will be held today

On March 19, 2025, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine and the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church prayed at the Divine Liturgy before the start of the Holy Synod of the UOC at the Panteleimon Monastery (Feofaniya). This is the first meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC in 2025. This is reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

It is reported that the service was held in the Church of All Saints at the residence of the Primate. The Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was led by Metropolitan Theodore of Kamyanets-Podilsky and Horodok, a permanent member of the Holy Synod. At the liturgy, prayer requests were offered for peace on the Ukrainian land, its authorities and army, and for the Lord to have mercy on our people, to save those who are in despair and have lost their homes, and to bless people of good will who help those in need.

The service will be followed by the first meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in 2025. The Primate and hierarchs of the UOC will consider issues of church life.
