Community of Bukovyna church of the UOC, which supporters of the OCU failed to seize, appeals to the UN for help

The rector and parishioners of the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi, Chernivtsi region, which two days earlier was attempted to be seized by supporters of the OCU, recorded a video appeal addressed to the United Nations. In the appeal, the priest and the faithful ask the UN to protect the rights of the UOC believers and stop the arbitrariness of the OCU adherents, who attack the temples of the canonical Church with impunity. This is reported by the Union of Orthodox Journalists.
“On the night of April 8-9, unknown people in balaclavas, armed with sticks and gas canisters, beat local parishioners, women and elderly people. And then, having broken the lock on the church, they desecrated the temple. We ask you to protect our rights to religion and ensure the protection of our property and human life,” — the priest and parishioners of the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi emphasize in an appeal.
We will remind you that after an unsuccessful attempt to seize the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi, Chernivtsi region, the scandalous “chaplain” of the OCU, Roman Hryshchuk, who led the raiding operation, complained that the rule of law does not exist in Ukraine, and OCU supporters are forced to enter “their churches” by force.
