OCU “chaplain” complains about lack of rule of law after unsuccessful seizure of UOC church

After an unsuccessful attempt to seize the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi, Chernivtsi region, the notorious “chaplain” of the OCU, Roman Hryshchuk, who led the raider operation, complained that the rule of law does not work in Ukraine, and supporters of the OCU are forced to enter “their churches” by force. He wrote about this on his Facebook account.

According to the “chaplain,” in Verkhni Stanivtsi, UOC believers beat chaplains and students, using batons and rebar against the new “owners” of the church. At the same time, according to Hryshchuk, they just wanted to “perform a prayer service” (note that the event took place on the night of April 8-9).

«Unfortunately, so far we do not have a properly functioning executive service and there is no rule of law and law-abiding believers, so that a document is enough for them to be considered. Re-registered communities, even if they have the documents, are forced to defend their right to a church by force. Or accept the fact that the church, although according to the documents is already in the OCU, in fact remains under occupation! And continues to educate the villagers in Moscow narratives!», — the «chaplain» complained.

We recall that on the night of April 8-9, 2025, supporters of the OCU made an unsuccessful attempt to seize the St. Nicholas Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Verkhni Stanivtsi, Chernivtsi region. The seizure was led by the odious “chaplain” of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk. The invaders attacked the UOC believers who gathered to defend the church. Some parishioners of the church needed hospitalization.
