Believers of St. Nicholas Church in Mohyliv-Podilskyi reaffirm loyalty to UOC

On April 12, 2025, the priests and parishioners of the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC in the city of Mohyliv-Podilskyi (Vinnytsia region) held a parish meeting to consider the issue of confessional affiliation. By an absolute majority of votes, members of the community confirmed their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Mohyliv-Podilsky Diocese of the UOC.
It is reported that such actions were taken by the religious community in connection with the provocations that are taking place around the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC in the city of Mohyliv-Podilsky. Believers fear that the church is threatened with seizure by representatives of the OCU.
After holding a parish meeting, members of the religious community of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Mohyliv-Podilskyi testified to their unwavering desire to remain in the bosom of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the omophorion of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, on November 26, 2024, the Vinnytsia Diocese of the OCU held a final meeting at which the former hierarch of the UOC Simeon Shostatsky, who joined the OCU in 2018, spoke about the number of parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church seized in 2024.
