Zelensky invites Trump to Ukraine in absentia to “see destroyed churches”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on US President Donald Trump to come to Ukraine and look at the “destroyed hospitals and churches” to understand that a dialogue on peace with Russia is unacceptable. Zelenskyy believes that Trump does not know “what Putin has done,” which is why the White House’s position on the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war, according to the head of state, was formed without taking into account all the specifics. He said this in an interview with CBS News.
“We respect your position, but please, before making any decisions, any plans for negotiations, come and see the people, civilians, soldiers, hospitals, churches, children who have been destroyed or killed. Come and see, and then we will move forward with a plan to end the war. You will understand who you are dealing with. You will understand what Putin has done,” — Zelensky said.
Earlier, we reported that the head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, called for the abandonment of peace talks with Russia. According to Shevchuk, the peace format that is being imposed on Ukraine behind its back is unacceptable and unfair.
