"Abbot" of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Avraamii "consecrated" the cross on the Trinity Church

The last restored cross was “consecrated” and installed on the Trinity Gate Church at the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve. The ceremony was performed by the «abbot» of the Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Avraamii. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
Representatives of the OCU, who view this event as an act of «restoration» and «preservation» of the shrine, claim that the installation of the cross serves as «a symbol of faith in renewal,» especially during a time when Ukraine is facing difficult trials.
«The installation of the cross was not only another step in the restoration process but also a symbol of faith in renewal. In these days, as Ukraine experiences great trials, the return of the cross to the shrine affirms that we endure, care, and preserve what is ours,» the official statement reads.
As a reminder, the National Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve has announced a series of secular events to be held on the monastery grounds on Easter Sunday, April 20. These include workshops, concerts, and guided tours.
