Patriarch Kirill: I pray for a speedy end to the turmoil for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, said that he is working and praying for the upheaval experienced by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to end as soon as possible. The First Hierarch noted that the schism in Ukraine, like any other, will end sooner or later, but the wounds it has caused will take a long time to heal. The words of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church are published by Romfea.gr.
“This is my prayer to God and my work, as far as I can participate in solving such issues, is to ensure that the turmoil that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is going through ends as soon as possible, so that these heavy traces, the heavy consequences of everything that has happened and is happening, would heal as soon as possible on the body of the Church,” — said Patriarch Kirill.
Earlier, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, believes that the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is a temporary phenomenon that will sooner or later stop. The First Hierarch emphasized that in any confrontation between Orthodoxy and hostile forces, it was always the Church that won.
