Zelensky Thanks Head of UGCC for "Work for the Benefit of Ukraine"

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, on his 55th birthday by sending an official greeting letter. In his message, the head of state thanked the UGCC leader for his «contribution to the spiritual, social, and civic life of the country.» This was reported on the official website of the UGCC.

“Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your 55th birthday. Thank you for your active church, social, and civic work for the benefit of Ukraine and its people. I wish you good health, well-being, and boundless life energy. Many happy and blessed years!” — the President’s letter reads.

It was previously reported that a UGCC chaplain, Andriy Khomyshyn, was included in the delegation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that participated in the parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. Serving as a chaplain at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy in Lviv, he accompanied Ukrainian servicemen and represented Ukraine at the parade held in London.
