We recall that on May 4, 2025, in the village of Banilov-Pidhirny, Chernivtsi region, “chaplains” and supporters of the OCU, with the support of local authorities, held a “territorial meeting” at which they “transferred” two local churches of the UOC to the OCU. These are the churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in honor of the Ascension of the Lord and the Holy Spirit. The process was traditionally led by the odious “chaplain” of the OCU Roman Hryshchuk.
“As many as 14 people came”: OCU representatives hold religious events in seized UOC church in Chernihiv region

On May 7, 2025, representatives of the OCU held religious events in the Holy Resurrection Church in the village of Pereyaslivka, Chernihiv region, which was seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Only 14 people came to the “first service” of the OCU in the seized church of the UOC, which is confirmed by a photo published by the OCU. This is reported by the regional publication Vremya Chernihivske.
It is reported that the Holy Resurrection Church of the UOC in the village of Pereyaslivka, Chernihiv region, is an architectural monument of local importance. The building was erected in the XIX century. It is not reported when and under what circumstances the church became the property of the OCU. However, judging by the published photos, interest in the OCU in the village of Pereyaslivka is extremely low. The “first service”, which is an important event for the village, was attended by only 14 people, mostly elderly.
