TRC Releases UOC Priest Detained in Kremenets

The rector of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Druzhba, Rivne Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archpriest Vladyslav Batyuk, has been released after being unlawfully detained at the Kremenets Territorial Recruitment Center. This was reported by the press service of the Rivne Diocese.

“His release became possible thanks to numerous calls to the hotline, widespread publicity, and complaints from concerned citizens. The voice of the community was heard. After several hours of unlawful detention, Father Vladyslav is now free,” the diocese stated.

It is also known that the priest’s parishioners held a protest in front of the Kremenets TRC building, demanding the release of their rector.
