As reported, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, published an address on the occasion of the third anniversary of the UOC Council, which was held on May 27, 2022, in Feofaniya. The Primate emphasized that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has all the attributes of an independent structure, and therefore expects that this status of the UOC will be supported by the Local Churches.
“Ordinary verbiage”: OCU hierarch comments on UOC Primate's statement on Church's independence

Former bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who joined the OCU in 2018, Oleksandr Drabinko criticized the recent statement of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, about the independence and autonomy of the UOC. Drabinko called the words of the Primate of the UOC “verbiage,” saying that nothing new has been said since 2022. He said this in an interview with Glavkom.
«Compared to the decision of 2022, we have not yet heard anything new. The only thing that is being specified is that the ultimate goal of the UOC-MP is autocephaly, local status. It was formulated in this way in the Will of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr before his death in 2013. And please note that Onufriy’s address once again refers to disassociation from the Moscow Patriarchate, not withdrawal from it. At one time, everyone picked up the phrase that the Council in Feofaniya in 2022 allegedly condemned the Russian patriarch for the war. No one condemned Kirill, but disagreement was expressed with his position on this issue. That is, there was a usual verbiage,» — Drabinko said.
