As reported, on November 7, 2024, a meeting of the Synod of the OCU was held in Kyiv. The organization criticized the attempts of the Romanian Patriarchate to create a parallel jurisdiction in Ukraine – the Romanian Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which, according to the Romanian Orthodox Church, should be joined by the parishes of the UOC in Bukovyna and Transcarpathia.
"Chaplains" of the OCU visited the Ukrainian Vicariate of the Romanian Orthodox Church

In late May 2025, chaplains from the Chernivtsi Diocese of the OCU visited the Ukrainian vicariate within the Romanian Orthodox Church. It is reported that this visit took place on the initiative of the Romanian Patriarchate “with the aim of deepening relations” between the OCU and the ROC. This was reported on his Facebook page by Roman Gryshchuk, an odious cleric of the OCU who is involved in raiding UOC churches in Bukovina and who was also present as part of the delegation.
It is reported that as part of the trip, the OCU delegation visited Ukrainian communities in the cities of Lugoj and the village of Soca, where they were received by priests of the Romanian Patriarchate, Petru Rosoca and Vasile Cristian Ardelian. In addition, the OCU “chaplains” visited the monasteries of Suchevitsa, Moldovitsa, and the Holy Trinity Monastery in Lugozh.
“We gained invaluable experience in communication. We also established strong friendly relations with the priests of the Ukrainian Vicariate of the Romanian Orthodox Church!” — wrote Hryshchuk.
