Key OCU Raider Detained in Kyiv Region on Suspicion of Embezzling Infrastructure Reconstruction Funds

Serhii Voznyi, one of the main perpetrators of religious community takeovers in favor of the OCU, has been detained by police in a criminal case concerning the embezzlement of budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of the Hostomel community. This was reported by “Pershyi Kozatskyi”.
According to the investigation, Voznyi is a key figure in the case, in which law enforcement documented at least six episodes of embezzlement that caused state losses exceeding 650,000 hryvnias. He has already been officially charged under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — misappropriation or embezzlement of property by an official in especially large amounts. A search was conducted at his residence.
Serhii Voznyi is known for his active involvement in the seizure of UOC churches in Kyiv Region. According to open sources, he was repeatedly enlisted by the OCU leadership to falsify documents and organize attacks on Orthodox shrines.
Voznyi publicly collaborated with OCU clergy and received several church awards personally from the head of the structure, Epiphaniy Dumenko. It is also known that he has a criminal record.
It is also worth noting that the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine recently ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to enter information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations regarding possible misuse of public funds by former Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and his First Deputy Rostyslav Karandiiev.
