Head of the Right Sector once again calls for the liquidation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

The head of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army and the right-wing radical organization Right Sector, Dmytro Yarosh, has once again called for the liquidation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Yarosh claims that the fight against the UOC is equivalent to the destruction of the Russian army. He wrote about this on his Facebook account.

“I believe that the so-called UOC (MP) should be eliminated as a hostile imperial phenomenon in general. To neutralize one parish of the ‘Russian Church’ in Ukraine is like destroying a regiment of Russians at the front. To return one Christian Ukrainian Lavra or large monastery to the bosom of the Ukrainian Church is to destroy the entire Russian army. The priests of the FSB are total agents of the Kremlin. They have no place on Ukrainian soil. Get the Moscow church out of Ukraine!”, — Yarosh wrote.

Earlier, Oleksandr Aliksiychuk, MP from the Servant of the People party, complained from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada that ten months after the adoption of anti-church law No. 3894, the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church had not yet entered into force. The MP urged the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience to deal with the Church as soon as possible, and the SBU to influence the State Department of Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience in this matter.
