In Indonesia, a group of Muslims destroyed a Christian retreat

In Indonesia, in the village of Tangkil, around 200 Muslims carried out an attack on a Christian youth retreat. The incident occurred after Friday prayers at the local mosque. According to eyewitnesses, the participants shouted slogans calling for the destruction of the building and carried banners. This was reported by The Christian Post.

Videos shared on social media show a man removing a wooden cross from the wall of the house and using it to break a window, while others damage property inside the building using chairs and other objects. The participants of the Christian gathering were forced to leave the premises. According to preliminary reports, there were no injuries, but significant material damage was recorded.

It was previously reported that Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilos III stated that Antioch Patriarch John X is one of the potential targets of the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS). He learned this during a phone conversation with Greece’s Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis.
