Earlier, political analyst Konstantin Bondarenko commented on statements by representatives of the Ukrainian government regarding the implementation of anti-church law No. 3894, aimed at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The political analyst claims that the full implementation of the law will lead to a negative reaction from the US.
Member of the US Congress: The US will stop funding Ukraine because of the ban on the UOC
US Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna of the Republican Party announced that the United States will not finance Ukraine or supply the country with weapons because Volodymyr Zelensky banned the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Luna stated that America will no longer be a “piggy bank” for Ukraine. She wrote about this on her X account.
“Zelensky banned the Orthodox Church. I can promise that you will not receive funding for weapons. Negotiate for peace. We are not your «piggy bank,” — the congresswoman wrote.
Later, Anna Paulina Luna added that Ukrainian bots had already rushed to criticize her for this position, claiming that the ban on the UOC was necessary because it was a “Russian church.” Luna called them hypocrites, adding that nothing like this would ever happen in the US.
