Head of the OCU awards propagandist convicted of spreading fake news against the UOC

The head of the Ukrainian schism, Epiphany Dumenko, awarded one of the main propagandists of the OCU, Sonya Koshkina, who regularly spreads fakes about the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with an order. The head of the OCU timed the award “For sacrificial love and devoted work for the benefit of the Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the pious people” to coincide with the journalist’s birthday. Koshkina announced this on her Facebook account.

“The Order of St. Olga, Equal to the Apostles, from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine is not just an award for me. It’s not just some medal. For me, it is a TALISMAN. When our Most Blessed Metropolitan Epiphany said that he wanted to congratulate me on my anniversary and invited me to his residence, I honestly had no idea what was going on. So, naturally, I cried when I took the Order in my hands. ‘For sacrificial love and devoted work for the benefit of the Local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the devout people,’ as stated in the award documents. How could I not cry?). For me, it is both an honor and a responsibility. And it is also very much about love. About the strength that true faith gives,” – the propagandist commented on her award.

Earlier, we reported that the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv found unreliable the information about “sexual intimacy” between a cleric of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the UOC, Archimandrite Mykyta (now Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia) and a minor, which was disseminated on her telegram channel by a well-known Ukrainian journalist and lobbyist for the OCU, editor-in-chief of the publication “Left Bank” Sonya Koshkina. During the trial, the journalist was found guilty of lying and ordered to pay 20 thousand hryvnias in moral compensation to the victim.
