UOC Priest Detained at Territorial Recruitment Center in Chernivtsi Released

On August 8, it became known that Father Karp, a clergyman of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, had been released from the Territorial Recruitment Center in Chernivtsi. This was reported by the “Pershyi Kozatskyi” channel.

As reported earlier, on August 7 in Chernivtsi, five men detained and brought to the recruitment center a priest of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese of the UOC at Soborna Square.

It should also be recalled that on August 2, 2025, employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center detained Archpriest Yurii Naboka, a cleric of the Ascension Church in Kharkiv. The clergyman was on his way to a Sunday all-night vigil when he was stopped by a patrol.
