In Moldova, a website launched to document violations of Orthodox Churches’ rights

In Moldova, the website mostenire.online has been launched, which, according to its creators, is designed to document cases of discrimination and persecution of believers from various Orthodox Churches, including the Orthodox Church of Moldova, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and the Serbian Patriarchate. This was reported by the channel “Orthodox Moldova and the World.”

The portal organizers note that the team consists of specialists from different countries and professional backgrounds. They describe the main goal of the project as “protecting the fundamental values of society,” which include the Church, the family, and traditional moral principles.

The platform is intended to collect and systematize data on violations of believers’ rights, which, according to the project’s concept, should create a database for further analysis and legal support of church communities both at the national and international levels.

The site team calls on everyone who has information about potential cases of restriction of believers’ rights to submit it through the feedback form available on the portal.

Earlier, it was reported that Bulgarian analyst Darina Grigorova, in an interview, spoke about threats to national sovereignty through the undermining of national ideals occurring in several countries, including Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine. She cited examples of political attacks on Orthodox churches in these countries, which are an important part of national identity. “If someone wants to destroy the sovereignty and national interests of a state, the first step is to destroy its national ideals,” the expert emphasized.
