We recently reported that, at the request of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, the Microbiology Laboratory of Sumy State University “ECOMEDHIM” conducted “tests” on the relics of the Venerable Pechersky in the Far Caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. This information comes from the response to a lawyer’s request from Archpriest Nikita Chekman. He noted that the ministry refused to provide any further information about the actions of institutions regarding the Lavra’s shrines.
The court hearing on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has been postponed until October

On September 10, 2025, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal held another hearing in the case concerning the denial of access to representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the territory of the Upper Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra complex. This was reported on Telegram by the monastery’s lawyer, Archpriest Mykyta Chekman.
“During the hearing, procedural issues regarding the participation of a number of monks in the case as third parties were considered. The next court hearing will take place on October 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Thank you all for your prayers!” Chekman wrote.
